Born a slave in the Roman Empire, Saint-Germain filled her empty heart with a desire for knowledge after failing to save her mother's life. Discovering alchemy, the "pursuit of perfection", she granted herself an immortal body and began researching how to permanently remove oppression from the world. To that end, she sacrificed thousands of lives as a high-ranking member of the Bavarian Illuminati. When the Illuminati's leader, Adam Weishaupt, revealed he had tricked her and intended to rule the world himself, Saint-Germain stood against him. She has now come to Rosavelle seeking a means of defeating Adam and realizing her ideals.

Saint-Germain is an alchemist, someone who can transmute both tangible matter and intangible concepts (such as "life energy") into different forms. She has used alchemy to grant herself a "biologically perfect body", immortal and eternally youthful. She's also capable of wielding the four Aristotelian elements (wind/earth/water/fire) as well as "silver", a catchall element for generalized magic like shields, spying, etc. In combat, she may transform into her Faust Robe, armor generated from the Philosopher's Stone. The Faust Robe enhances her abilities and shifts most of her transmutations to being projectile-based, since its weapon is a gun. In addition to its use in the Faust Robe, the Philosopher's Stone is capable of neutralizing anything classified as "impurity", including curse energy - though its in-game efficacy will be on a case-by-case basis pending player approval.
